A Welcome from Pastor Krin
My wife, Donna, and I want to welcome you to the First Presbyterian Church of Alice. We recently moved here from Fort Worth, and have found both the congregation and the community to be warm and welcoming.
I have been an ordained minister for over two decades, privileged to serve in a wide variety of capacities. These have included time as an Army Chaplain, Hospice Chaplain, School Administrator, and Pastor of congregations both large and small. My journeys have taken me from California to Nevada, South Carolina to Texas. It has certainly been a grand adventure.
Tying all these experiences together is my passion for sharing the life-changing grace we find in Jesus Christ. No other message of love is so scandalously simple yet profound. It changes hearts and minds, and in my own life it has driven me with a passion for justice, especially for those who are poorest among us.
This passion did not come easily. My journey has been long and convoluted. If you care to read it, I have attached a recent statement of faith written upon entry into the Mission Presbytery of south Texas. Just click here.
I would also like to share a booklet with you that outlines my central focus on mission. It is called Two Missions You Can't Live Without. You can access it here.
We hope that you will consider joining us at First Presbyterian, Alice, as we labor together to serve God's children both here and beyond.
